The War of Restoration 1640 - 1688, This is a somewhat obscure war between Portugal and Spain in the twilight of our period. The site is by a contributor to the "Arquibusier", Jorge Penim de Freitas. It is in Portuguese but readers can use a translation app to access this information.

Renaissance Wargames Society Formerly the United States Pike and Shot Federation, this American group is dedicated to miniature gaming in the age of Pike and Shot. The Society publishes the magazine "The Reiter."

Theatrum Europaeum The 17th century German newsbook Theetrum Europaeum scanned and put online by the University of Augsburg. The text (in gothic German script, if you can read that) contains a lot of information of a military nature. There are also many wonderful engravings of battles, sieges, etc.
Western Martial Arts Illustrated An online subscription based magazine covering such diverse topics as drilling with the halbred or defending yourself with a 16th Century side sword.
School of the Sword An organisation that teaches the art of Renaissance dueling.
Der Weiß Kunig The is a 16th century biography of Emperor Maximilian I, profusely illustrated with woodblock engravings by some of the finest engravers working in Germany at the time. Many of these illustrations show battles and contain much interesting military detail.

Seven Years War Association A US -based organisation covering the mid-18 th century and publishing a respected journal containing high quality articles.
Society of Army Historical Research Academic journal dedicated to the research of the British Army. If often carries articles relevant to the Society’s interest.
Arms and Armour Society Dedicated to the study of arms and armour from earliest times. Publishes a journal twice a year.
